Great ideas can come from anyone, but not everyone has the opportunity to turn their great ideas into a reality.

 

Too many good ideas fall by the wayside because opportunities for starting and growing a business are not equally available to all founders in our community. At Main Street Ventures, we believe that all good ideas deserve the opportunity to become successful businesses.  That is why we are launching a community-funded initiative to make entrepreneurship possible for everyone in Greater Cincinnati.

$1,400,000 Investment | ​Potential Entrepreneurs

  • Launch It: Cincy is an annual pitch competition (high school and undergraduate levels) designed to provide the next generation of entrepreneurs with valuable hands-on experience.

  • Learn Grants support organizations and events that are strengthening the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Grants vary in size depending on funding needs.

LEVERAGE

$5,600,000 Investment | ​Pre-Revenue and Revenue Stage Entrepreneurs

  • Launch Grants provide emerging, pre-revenue with $5,000 - $10,000 of equity-free funding to continue development and prepare for market entry.

  • Leap Grants provide promising, revenue-generating businesses with $10,000 - $30,000 of equity-free funding to scale their community impact and increase the odds of long-term survival

$1,000,000 Investment | ​Grant Recipients and Promising Applicants

  • Programs designed to provide grant recipients and promising applicants with critical resources and training for business sustainability and long-term success.

  • Trainings delivered by partners include financial planning, strategic sales training, and industry roundtables. Annual needs assessments will be used to identify other opportunities for support.
