Q: What makes Cincinnati a great place to start a business?

A: People are so willing to offer guidance and support. They are champions of small businesses, love delicious food and wine, and are willing to give you a chance.

Q: How will the Main Street Ventures Grant impact you and your business?

A: The MSV Grant will give me funding to purchase equipment, pay for current help and hire additional employees as well as purchase materials and packaging to grow the business.

Q: What’s one piece of advice you would give a young entrepreneur in Greater Cincinnati?

A: Just start, look forward and trust your gut.

Q: What does a typical day in your life look like?

A: Wake up, drink coffee and log on to the computer to see what new orders need to ship out. Review the production schedule and review the calendar. Make deliveries as needed. Work on social media, business development, and production as needed.

Q: What is next for In the Curious Kitchen?

A: Establish additional wholesale accounts, work with a co-packer on mustards and jam and get back on my social media game to market my business.
