Q: What’s one piece of advice would you give a young entrepreneur in Greater Cincinnati?

A: Just start. If you have an idea or a product, you have to start by just getting it out there. Don't wait until everything is finished with the business because it's a forever learning process. You will be surprised the moment you get something into the public how quickly you will edit that product or process. Business is a steady evolution of yourself, your business, and your product. Be willing to adapt. Be willing to constantly push and work through the lulls. And most importantly, don't let the beginning stages of business discourage you.

Q: How did a grant from Main Street Ventures impact you and your business?

A: This Main Street grant is HUGE for the future of Lucca. With the expansion of our new furniture retail store and event space, this will allow us creative freedom to build out the space optimally to create a cozy, inviting space for our events - in the hopes we can also rent out the space!

Q: What does a typical day in your life look like?

A: Being a mom and business owner is nothing short of hectic, but I have found my peace in parenting and managing. I spend the morning with my children, go to the gym, and then I head to my home studio or downtown to the store. When I don't have a meeting, I head into the shop and start working on custom orders and planning my day with the ladies. If we are not busy, I spend my time planning and inventing new products.

Q: What makes Cincinnati a great place to start a business?

A: The community and the price! Cincinnati is a very affordable city to live in. The community helps our city thrive. I believe the pandemic has helped Cincinnatians look inward at spending their dollars locally.

Q: What's next for Lucca?

A: After we open our new store in OTR, I plan to expand outside of Cincinnati!
