Q: What makes Cincinnati a great place to start a business?
A: Cincinnati provides the best ecosystem for upcoming startups with great innovative ideas. Most of the traction we had for Perceive now was highly supported by UC's StartupUC incubator, 1819 Venture lab and passionate professors and mentors from LCB like Dr. Dalziel, Dr. Matthews, Prof. Meyers and Ms. Kate Harmon. The best part about having a startup in Cincinnati is the opportunity to be heard and improved at every stage and at every juncture of the scaling and growth process.
Q: How did a grant from Main Street Ventures impact you and your business?
A: It will help us expedite our MVP development for beta launch in April 2022.
Q: What is a lesson you've learned that has shaped your work?
A: Purpose is more important than plans. Process is more important than goal.
Q: What does a typical day in your life look like?
A: I am in the final semester of my Ph.D. research in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. I am also working on Perceive now, so my everyday work is juggling between completing my defense and hustling to facilitate everyday activities for Perceive now. We are planning several exciting milestones so my typical day entails different types of activities related to customer interviews, technical product development tasks, and logistical details.
Q: What's next for Perceive Now?
A: Beta launch, customer acquisition, revenue generation, and pre-seed funding rounds.
